Legislation Update - Iowa Sports Betting Inches Towards Finish Line.

Sports betting is almost legal in Iowa, as bill SF 617 cleared through the Senate and is making its way towards the House. Governor Kim Reynolds has said she believes Iowa should regulate sports betting in the past. If the bill passes Iowa residents will have access to sports betting online, as well as retail locations.

Television - Sportradar and SportsGrid are launching a sports betting network


Sportradar, a leader in sports data, announced on April 18th that they're teaming up with the SportsGrid to launch the first free 24-hour sports betting network. SportsGrid is a leader in programming for sports betting and daily fantasy sports. The combined product will offer in-depth analysis of stats and odds across professional sports and should prove to be an asset to sports bettors.

Sportradar is the official data partner of the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL, amongst other leagues, and will be able to offer competitive insights on professional teams and players.

Television - Professional Sports Bettor Meets Jeopardy


Professional sports bettor James Holzhauer has set the record for most single-game winnings on NBC’s popular game show Jeopardy. Actually, he's set it four times. Holzhauer currently holds the four highest single-game winnings in the show’s longstanding history, with a single-game haul of $131,127. Holzhauer is now on a 12-game win streak and has earned almost $700,000. He consistently wagers a majority of each bankroll on each daily double, truly giving new meaning to the term "double down."
